Who is God to me?

Have you ever wondered what God is to you? Reasons why you say God loves you? This is my list, and it will grow longer with time.

1. God is my provider:

25] Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?

26] Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?

27] Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? (Matthew 6:25-27)

2. God is my helper:

1] I lift up my eyes to the hills.

From where does my help come?

2] My help comes from the LORD,

the Maker of heaven and earth. (Psalm 121:1-2)

3. God is Love:

7] Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.

8] He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. (1 John 4:7-8)

4. God is my comforter and salvation:

3] Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; 4] Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God. 5] For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ. 6] And whether we be afflicted, it is for your consolation and salvation, which is effectual in the enduring of the same sufferings which we also suffer: or whether we be comforted, it is for your consolation and salvation. (2 Corinthians 1:3-6)
