Sometimes we are as disposed of goods!

Some days ago, I went to a drift store to see if I could find some sewing patterns. I didn't find any, but I did find a disposed head doll. I felt I needed to buy it, so after much thinking, I bought it.

Appearance of the doll

At first glance, the doll looked fine, with some clips in his head. The face was pleasing, but the hair was matted in front. I glanced at it, like, three times. I also took a Google photo of it to see if the doll was worth buying. I didn't get the same doll on Google search. So, I still picked up the doll and touched the soft hair. That's how I ended up buying the doll.

The matted hair

When I came home, it was time to transform this head. I started in the back, spraying it with water, and it worked like magic to get the tangles out. 85% of the head went easy. But the last 15% was a total mess. It was hard to get out, but I didn't give up on it. I started to think, why was this doll disposed of?

Stories behind the disposed?

The clips in the hair were kids' clips, so this was the head of a little girl. But how did it get so tangled? The kid might have been too small to deal with the hair, maybe because it was too long. Probably, the mom got tired of the hair getting so tangled that she gave it away to a drift store because she might have paid some money for the doll, so she didn't throw it away.

Finding gems in disposed goods

I got a gem of a doll for only 8.50 euros, a fraction of the price. What a find!

Moral of the story

What can be disposable goods for someone can become a gem to someone else. It just needs to find the right owner. If the right owner can make this thing look better, so does the Lord also do to us. He sees our worthwhile others don't and can give us a new look.

As I didn't give up on the doll because I saw its worth, so does the Lord know the worth in us. Sometimes, I doubt that I am even worth anything to the Lord, but He keeps showing me. This road is hard, especially if you don't see your worth, but you need to trust the word of the Lord that you are worth a lot to Him. Trust and faith is hard. That the Lord help you and me to see every day how much we are worth to Him.

We are worth a lot; stay blessed!
