Digital ministry

They approach me for a part in the youth week of prayer. The topics were "digital ministry in action or campus life in action," and I chose digital ministry. Why?

Digital ministry

I haven't been in school for over 10 years, so I didn't feel it would be appropriate for me to present this. Also, it was on a Wednesday, which I always have another appointment. The remaining one was the digital ministry. Compared to the other one, this was more interesting because I write blogs, so I could relate.

Digital ministry

I have had my blog since April 2020. Until 2022, it was a free version, until the Lord told me to buy a domain. At that point, I had no viewers, no traffic, nothing. With this official domain, I thought, " Oh, finally, I'm going to have traffic, and I'm going to start making money with my blog. Well, the experience was definitely humbling. Since 2023, I have had barely any traffic. It was discouraging, but the reason it started wasn't that I wanted to make money with it; it was out of obedience to the Lord.

After this topic for the prayer week. This part really talked to me. Because I do post on this blog, on Instagram, and on Twitter. But it feels like nobody is watching. There is no likes nothing. But this part showed that we need to stay consistent and that our worldly success doesn't define the heavenly success. It may look like it is not reaching anybody, but I don't need to lose hope that God will bring the right people at the right time.

The part "digital ministry in action."

I didn't like the part at all. It was super long, like 12 pages. It took me 1 hour to translate 2 pages. It took me a week to finish it. At the end, I was like, " Oh. Now I got it. I was wondering why they approached me. They never approach me for things like this. But this time, they did. I was questioning why I even accepted this. But God has something to tell me, because otherwise, I won't hear or read the prayer week topics.

Looking forward

I'm trying to be consistent with my blog posting every 2 weeks on Tuesday. This year I didn't miss any week. I also started this year with the motto: I will pray about everything, no matter how small. There is a lot going on in my life that gives me enough to write. I want to give this platform to God. He never told me I would make money with it. I want to focus on this blog to share my walk with Christ with others. What do you think about digital ministry? Do you engage, share, or post?

Moral of the story

I feel like God wants us to keep pushing if He gave us an idea. I expected my blog to blow up right away, or after I officially started paying for my domain, but it didn't. I felt like God wanted me to stay visible and consistent with what I have been doing so far. So this year, I have been consistent in uploading a blog every two weeks on Tuesday. Sometimes it feels like not enough, but it is more than enough. It gave me enough time to take a break and to get something new to write about.

Be blessed, and stay blessed.
