The Lord wants to teach me patience!

This blog follows my latest post, "Dealing with People is a Headache." It seems the Lord wants to teach me patience and to show me more love and grace for others.

In Dec 2025, I had a reunion with the kids' parents to brainstorm a problem: nobody wants to work with the kids. The follow-up was on 10 January with my teachers to fill the agenda (which most of them don't do). They were informed since 12 Dec, and I asked them to mark their calendars; I also sent a reminder two days before. Date of reunion 10 of january.

On the day, I asked the teachers present to join the short reunion. I can't recall if anyone remembered my message. I needed to stay positive and said, "Oh, it's OK, but you can join if possible. It will be short."

But it's Saturday, and everyone wanted to chat, so I called them again. Oh my, the lords wants to teach me patience. I wanted to freak out, but i just needed to relax and trust God!

Dealing with people is a headache.

It's not that I don't love people; I definitely fall short in that way. But I don't like people; they drain my energy. That day, I called them, waited, called again, and waited some more as everyone caught up. I felt frustrated but needed to stay calm.

In the end, the meeting went well, and everyone cooperated. Hopefully, the problem is on its way to being resolved. Has the Lord ever taught you patience?

It took me one year to realise that being a leader of a child ministry is the way the Lord wants to teach me patience.
