The Ladder

Life is like a ladder. We need to step some rungs to reach where we want to be.
Our society tells us everything we need to do to reach a higher rung on the ladder. This means; going to school and getting degrees -more is better-. But the sad part is that it is not always how it is painted. The degree is a paper that helps to open doors, the better. Having it doesn't mean you've reached it. You still need to prove that you're good enough. What you need are your skills. How well can you use them? How good are you? Why do we need to choose you? That's only the start!
After some hard work at school and countless job interviews, you still need to get that (dream) job. You keep getting no after no. There are three things you can do. First, keep trying until you get your (dream) job. The second one, give up and start at a lower rung in something different -who knows, you might find something else that you like best. The third one, start partially on a lower rung in something different while trying to get your (dream) job or something you always wanted (your talents).
There might be more groups, but I battled between these. More between the second one and the third one because after finishing school, I didn't (still) feel like that was my dream job. I will still enjoy working in it for some years, but only part of my life. So, it was easy for me to look for other choices. After all, my choice is the third one; why? It took me two years to get here, to see it as I see it now, as you can still get the chance to work in it or do something else you would enjoy.
It would not be the end of the world if you didn't make it. The worst will be if you keep dwelling on something that will never happen. It is important to keep moving, so I chose the third one. While working in another field as a part-timer, I can keep searching for a job and some courses about something I like. Seeing life positively and enjoying it even if it takes longer with a lot of hard work is better than dwelling on it. Dwelling and being stuck, not moving at all because all your hope is on that one degree, and it seems like you can never succeed without it. You are unique! Get up and keep moving.
Keep going up! Even if you are starting all over again! Stop looking down where you are as a reason to stay there, but see it as the reason to keep going up because you don't belong there.
This is my life reflection.
