Remember the One who gave You all You have!

Based on Deuteronomy 8. Take your bible and take a look at it.

Throughout life, there are times when we lack the things we need or the things we want. But in all that, do we remember who gave them to us in the first place? When everything is right -how we want it- we must remember who gives it to us. In that time, we might turn away from the Lord and become arrogant; those moments are when the Lord used to humble us. In those times of prosperity, we created other gods in front of Him. He will use those moments to show us the idols in our hearts. It can be your job, money, partner, house, food, etc. What are you putting in front of the Lord? What do you do in that humbling process? Do you rejoice like Job, who said: "Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord? {Job 1:21 KJV}. What is your response when the Lord gives? Are you happy and thankful, or do you forget to praise Him? What do you do when he takes everything away?

Remember that how we react show us what is in our heart. Those moments of suffering and problems are the moments the Lord use to show us what is in our heart. What have we put before Him, and what did we do when things were good? What did we do when everything started to go wrong? Do we blame Him, or do we praise Him? Do we turn away from Him or get closer to Him? Sometimes, I question: How can I rejoice and be grateful for everything? Let your conversation be without covetousness; be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. {Hebrews 13:5} He is always with You.

My God is my provider. He loves me, and what is more important to Him is our character. Because He loves us, He disciplined us. It's all about Him for our salvation. How great is that Love? From now on, be thankful for everything, good or bad. When you are worried and scared, remember what David said: What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee. {Psalms 56:3}. Remember the One who gave You all You have!

Deuteronomy 1-3,5-6

1] All the commandments which I command thee this day shall ye observe to do, that ye may live, and multiply, and go in and possess the land which the Lord sware unto your fathers.

2] And thou shalt remember all the way which the Lord thy God led thee these forty years in the wilderness, to humble thee, and to prove thee, to know what was in thine heart, whether thou wouldest keep his commandments, or no.

3] And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the Lord doth man live.

5] Thou shalt also consider in thine heart, that, as a man chasteneth his son, so the Lord thy God chasteneth thee.

6] Therefore thou shalt keep the commandments of the Lord thy God, to walk in his ways, and to fear him.

Be blessed, and stay blessed!
