I'm jobless, what is next?

Since May 1, 2026, I have officially been jobless. I'm not going to lie, it felt good.

After working for nearly four years and being stressed for more than a year, I couldn't feel more at peace. Yes, I don't have another job lined up. Yes, I still need to get another job. But I do not worry. In my blog, I want to quit my job, but..., I explain why I endured working under stress for a long time.

I'm jobless, what is next?

I'm jobless, what is next?

God, who told me to leave my job, has a good plan for my life, as stated in Jeremiah 29:11:

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

That is the hope I carry. This is a season; it will pass. It will not stay forever. During my first month of being jobless, I did worry about what would come next. But I pushed through the fears and uncertainty.

This month, I took time to rest and bring some routine into my life. I'm not quite there yet, but I'm still improving in every area of my life. I had the idea that I would take a break for two months and then start working again. However, I realized that my health is important too.

I definitely need to take better care of myself, but I'm better off without that job. It has given me plenty of time to explore and plan other things. My life has become more than just home, work, and sleep every day. I do not regret it. I even told God that I am willing to take more time to rest if that is what I need.

I applied for two jobs in May and have a job interview in June. It's not initially what I wanted to do. But I told God that I want to work with plants. I do have my own ideas about what I want to do, but I also want to remain open if He has something better for me. I'm curious to see what will happen next.

Life Reflection

Looking back, I realized that during those stressful moments, God was teaching me that there is more to life than constant pressure and worry. Did God create me just to be stressed every day at work or in life? Definitely not!

For a season, I accepted that this was simply how life had to be. But now I see things differently. I want to live a life that I enjoy and that brings me peace, not a life that is filled with stress all the time.

I constantly pray for another job. I also pray for God's will to be done in my life. I want to entrust my life into His hands. My life is completely in His hands.

Be blessed and stay blessed!
